OCEAN STAR Coal Tar Anti-Corrosive Primer

OCEAN STAR Coal Tar Anti-Corrosive Primer is a high-quality, coal-tar-based coating specially formulated as a primer for OCEAN STAR Anti-Fouling Paint. It is intended for application on submerged iron and steel surfaces of boats and ships. This marine primer serves as an insulating layer between bare metal and anti-fouling topcoats, providing excellent corrosion resistance, water resistance, and adhesion. It is an excellent mid-range option for commercial and recreational vessels operating in both freshwater and coastal seawater within tropical and subtropical climates, such as those found in Myanmar. OCEAN STAR Coal Tar Anti-Corrosive Primer is also well-suited for floating or fixed marine structures, including iron and steel harbors, docks, piers, pipelines, and platforms. BRUSH (OR) ROLLER

  • The paint is ready for use after thorough stirring. If necessary, thin with up to 5% of Eagle Lacquer Thinner ET (71).

  • It is flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition. No smoking. No welding. Protect from extremes of temperature. Store in a good ventilated room at room temperature.
  • It needs enough ventilation during application and drying.
  • In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Suitable mask should be worn when sanding.
  • When applying paint, it is advisable to wear eye protection, suitable protective clothing and gloves.
  • In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
  • Remove splashes from skin by using soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner.
  • Keep container tightly closed and keep out of reach of children.
  • Care must be taken when transporting paint. Keep container in a secure upright position. In the event of accident, contain and collect spillage by using sand or earth.
  • Dispose of any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate environmental quality regulations
